Palladian Collection by CUSTHOM

the_interior_photographer_custhom

London design duo Jemma Ooi & Nathan Philpott from Custhom took over the Brompton Food Market during the Design London Festival last week, displaying their new Hayward
and Palladian ceramic collections by the huge window, letting the light shine through the graphic patterns on the delicate bone china, and sparkle on the hand-painted soft grey
rim. Brompton Food Market’s head chef Luke Mackay crafted a dish for each of the
new Palladian pieces.

I’m only sorry I was in too much of a rush to try this and experiment the ceramics
in conversation with food designed specifically for it, but I’m looking forward to being
back it the Brompton Food Market on my next trip to South Kensington.

Looking back at #LDF14: B&B Italia London

Amandine_Alessandra_b&b_Italia

Last week I was commissioned by Brompton Design District to photograph the LDF events and exhibitions scattered across West London within a day in a fantastic breathless design marathon.

B&B Italia London was showing off their 2014 collection, including designs by BasberOsgerby and Doshi Levien, both pictured here.

This morning I met with James Patmore to photograph his Horizon installation made of a series of hand-dyed natural ropes that hang within the windows of the cafe to create a visual oasis within the bustling city of London.

-ISH by Matteo Fogale and Laetitia De Allegri #LDF14

I’ve started the annual London Design Festival brawl with -ISH by Matteo Fogale and Laetitia De Allegri at Herrick Gallery, part of the Shoreditch Design Triangle

‘Slate-ish’ is a material that resembles stone, but is made in the US from recycled and reclaimed sources of paper-laminate. Not only is it lightweight,
it is also strong, durable, and easy to install. ‘Denimite’ is made from post-consumer and post-industrial denim scrap, recycled denim fiber material. (…)‘Marblus’ is made from white cotton/polyester post-industrial scrap.
This scrap material is plentiful, and gives a great source for a white-based composite. This fabric is used for sheets, clothing, and various other fabric products. The trimmings are shredded and the combination of fabrics give a wonderful blue/gray tone mixed with white, looking much like Carrara Marble.
